GE Monogram ice/water dispenser won't stop running

A few days ago the door dispenser started running non stop dumping cold water and ice at the same time, and would not stop. We unplugged the door dispenser at the top of the refrigerator. Can you tell me what part I should order to fix the problem.

Google says it sounds like the fill valve is sticking open.

Maybe, but why both at the same time. Same valve for both water and ice, does not compute.

I used this site to fix my fridge a few weeks ago. If you know your model number you can punch it in and see if it can help you out.

Replace the valve. Sounds like both solenoids are stuck in the open position.

1. Turn off water to fridge.
2. Replace inlet valve.
3. Fixed.
Step two requires a little bit of diy work though.

Oh sorry. Missed the ice part.
Wow. That's not common at all. They are both controlled by simple switches. You will need to replace the switch assembly. Disregard my previous post.

I have all GE stuff, and I gotta say they’re absolute garbage. Numerous problems with my fridge, dishwasher and my gas cooktop. And this is the Cafe line, which is supposedly their good stuff. Good luck!
