It's a cute pic and everything, but I don't know if giving a baby alcohol is actually a good idea. I'm 48 (Gen X) and I do remember my dad letting me have a sip of his beer when I was a kid when I asked him before I would give it to him after getting it from the fridge.

I am actually a recovering alcoholic now so it's a little difficult for me to think that maybe being exposed to alcohol so early had anything to do with my future problems. It probably didn't but who knows....

Who do you think raised all the subsequent generations?

The call is coming from inside the house.

Gen Xers will be quickly overtaken by Xennials the Gen Xers who grew up in the late 80s early 90s.
Those born 78-82 grew up in both generations.

Millions of millennials were that age and older in the 80s.

We all grew up doing that. We all aren’t alcoholics.

Any kid born from 1945- 1985ish or so had a pretty similar awesome American experience. Those born in the mid 50s, 60s and 70s especially. Speech was truly free, music was incredible, no tech to distract us, things were cheap and live and let live prevailed.

Lots of kids in that era were forced to go die in a jungle. Awesome.

To their defense no one was told to suck themselves off until their generation.

Here's where we celebrate the shared trauma of our parents drugging us because they didn't want to deal with us.

Soft. I bet most dads let their kid try a sip of beer as babies/kids and most of us don't have this problem.

That’s specifically why I said the next sentence that you left out:

.Those born in the mid 50s, 60s and 70s especially

I was that old in the 80s, and I'm a millennial.

I wonder if all the GenXers ever moved out of their parents basements.
