1966-1969 is the segment between Boomers and Gen X. They share characteristics of both Boomers and Gen Xers but don’t exactly fit either generation.

This is so true. It's why people trying to jam their nutjob bullshite down our throats is so offensive.

Do what you want. Just don't stick it in our faces or down our throats.

You can look at a photos of people from the early 2000s, the late aughts to early 2010s, and the 2020s and easily tell which is which

Our country has been in decline for a long time. No generation gets to escape this reality. We have all failed our sons and daughters, and we are all worse than our previous generations.

No. We were the ones who screwed up parenting.

We were the first latchkey generation. Taught us to be a little resilient.

Also meant we weren't being parented as much as earlier generations.

Agree, I was also born in ‘72. I honestly think it was by far the best time to be a kid. My parents basically kicked us out of the house during the Summer and said come home at dark. I honestly think they forgot they had kids but my buddies parents were the same way. It was like 24/7 unsupervised freedom without the worries of the present day bullshite. In high school, we didn’t have phones, internet, or social media. I think I went an an entire semester of some bad grades that got kicked down the hall because I forged my parents name on a progress report. The outcome wasn’t so good but point being, technology may be awesome but it also sucks if you are kid trying to pull a fast one on your parents.

Duh. Its a Gen X website. Concept, design, majority of membership, all that generation. Its equivalent to saying there sure a lot of LSU apologists on here. Well no shite.

Eh, yes but there were a lot of social no-nos when I was a kid, I even remember women whispering the word pregnant

And if you said the wrong thing in front of your parents, it may have been free but it was potentially costly in skin

65 is the start of Gen X technically.

Maybe it is dependent on whether they have younger or older siblings. I'm a boomer (born in 62) but my wife is a Gen Xer (born in 66). She is much more like a boomer but she was also the 6th child and all her siblings are boomers plus she is from a small town in Louisiana. I know others her age who seem much more like a GenXer and they are almost all the oldest in their family and usually from a bigger city or another part of the country.

I got real smart about leaving something to stop my window from closing all the way so I could sneak back inside after getting locked out.

Looking back down, it's crazy how much range we had to wander around. shite I didn't get my first cell phone until late in my freshman year of college. I spent way too much money talking to a girl on a payphone on campus and finally broke down and got one.

Now if you wanna call me a Xennial I'm fine with that. I was born in that time period(77-83) and can definitely identify with that sub-generation.

81 checking in. Xennial is probably most accurate

This just isn't true. Lol at the shirts men wear. Fashions are the save. Woman's pants and shirts are back to 00 styles now. The big differences for them are low and high waist jeans. Nothing in your closet from 20 years ago is really out of place. Now if you pull out the 90s 80s or 70s clothes you look like you're going to a theme party.

Again you're just replying with a gotcha rather than substance.
The shoes I grew up with are still in. 95s and Jordan's.
The style of jeans from the 00s are still in. Polo's are still in.
I'm trying you look at fricking pop culture styles have changed little in the last twenty years compared to the decades before. No one is going to have 2010s parties like they have 80s and 90s themes
