My daughter (she’s young perverts) told me she wants to start going to festivals all over Louisiana.
So throw me some good ones to go to. I’ve been doing some research and some that come highly rated, look a little sketchy.
Boudin festival in Scott? Jambalaya festival in Gonzales?
Hit me with the good ones

Thank you. But I understand all of the festivals are listed. I’m simply asking what are the better ones to go to. Especially with younger children.

It’s not like I want to know all of the festivals in Louisiana. I just want feedback on which ones are the best.
Google can only tell me so much. That’s why I look to the trusted OT to tell me more.

Listed above the Shrimp & Petroleum Festival in the same City!? Also the Fireman's Festival in Thib is overrated.

Hogs for the Cause would be a good one to do with kids.

Wooden Boat Festival in Madisonville.

Poboy Fest is decent if you get out there early and beat the crowds.

Delcambre shrimp festival is usually not too bad. Not a whole lot to do but the band is usually good.

Went to Crowley rice festival once when they had cocaine wayne playing. It wasn’t too bad.

Both small town festivals

If you’re looking for her to have a blast, Louisiana renaissance festival was always fun. I’ve only been as a kid but I’ve heard from coworkers who went with their kids that it’s still a good time.

Definitely not the Strawberry Festival. Unfortunately, they seem to hold the local chapter meeting for Murder, Inc. at the same time/place.

We should turn the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival into a OT meetup.

Oak St in Uptown New Orleans.

Oak St Poboy Fest

When we lived Uptown, we would get out there a little before it opened and hit up every booth where we wanted to try a poboy, catch some of the early musical acts, and head home right when the crowds got too big.
