Know we have a lot of construction baws on this site. Is there a good resource that shows up to date average costs of materials like drywall, metal studs, etc all in one place? Google isn't very helpful.

Xactware

Not sure in what capacity you need this information, but you can get a month to month price list from this software. It's much more in depth than what I assume you actually need, but there's no access to the price lists without the full software.

You can do a 30 day free trial though and just download the January 2022 price list

No problem. The prices will default to labor and materials as the unit cost per square foot, linear foot, etc. so if you just need material costs you’d have to specify material only for individual line items you’re researching in the estimating software

I call my vendors/suppliers (Capitol Materials, Tuckers Acoustical, L&W, etc.) for material pricing for every single project I bid. Prices are changing too fast to keep up with in some areas. Lumber is jumping all over the place. Metal studs were supposed to be going up significantly, but 18mil and 33mil cold formed metal has hardly moved at all in pricing in the past three months. 5/8" gyp board is up by about 6% with the last increase. Insulation currently has a long lead time and the price is climbing bit by bit.

Best way to get pricing is make a list of what materials you'll need (you don't necessarily have to have quantities) then call up one of the local big drywall vendors/suppliers and ask for pricing for those materials.
