Wasn't that in an episode of 2 and a Half Men?
It was also a movie plot in Say It Isn't So, but it turns out they weren't siblings at the end.
The best comedic timing is when they go to pound town and the answering machine picks up when someone's leaving a message about his potential linage.
Then there are daytime soaps. I swear with the limited gene pool of some of those storylines like on Young and the Restless, the family tree is a circle.

Wasn't it part of the movie plot in Joe Dirt too?

I knew a couple this happened to, they were half brother and sister.
There is a thing called “genetic sexual attraction” out there in the academic literature. Usually it’s related to adoptees finding family or some other sort of “family reunion” that turns sexual.

I think I would be absolutely enraged at one or both of my parents if something like this happened to me.
Maybe that’s not the right reaction but ffs, I had a sibling out in the world, you didn't tell me and I found out in perhaps the worst way possible. What the hell man.

From Claude
The clinical context
When a child needs a solid organ or hematopoietic stem cell transplant, siblings are tested as potential donors because HLA matching between siblings offers the best outcomes. Full siblings have a 25% chance of being HLA-identical matches.
What gets discovered
When HLA typing is done across a family, non-paternity (where the biological father is not the presumed father) is sometimes revealed — because the child’s HLA haplotypes can’t be reconciled with the presumed father’s. Misattributed paternity rates in the general population are estimated at roughly 1–3% in most modern studies (lower than the oft-cited “10–30%” figures from older research), though rates vary by population and methodology.
