Yeah but he admittedly keeps the alt rock/nu metal-ish genres pretty consistent as his base. It's not that funny/amazing when both are from these segments.
Smashing Pumpkins doing Change In the House of Flies, for example. It's not bad, but not really a huge difference.

Yeah and it's been posted a bunch. AI is really making a lot of those mashups easy.
This one is an OG of just normal layering, Toxic and Change mashup.
I imagine if someone did a cover band of what this guy did, he could crush oh the millennial cover band circuit. The ones mashing up the similar genres are typically good. He could just do Deftones covering x as a schtick, basically.

It looks like an open tuning except on a 7 string. Holding down multiple strings in one fret makes a chord.
