No shame here, Hammond was a lot of fun back in the day.

My go to was definitely Stray Cats and I remember going to The Library over there by Mickey’s a lot too. Hated Chevys
Never step foot in Robert E Lees.
There was some random bars too throughout the years that I can’t remember names.

Even though it’s not a true bar, I sure have been enjoying tacos and beer. They have areally cool staff and great ownership there as well. Try the shrimp cocktail it’s not what you expect and is awesome.

Stray Cats was my favorite, as well. Likely because they played decent music.

To the same place Marlboros, 7&7s, Musk perfume and cologne, Jordache jeans, House bands and normal guy-girl convos all disappeared to -- 1980s heaven?

They do “surge” cover charges too. Sometimes 40-60 bucks from what I’ve heard.

There is a moratorium on bar only license, so unless you are able to purchase an existing bar and change it, this is what we are stuck with. Used to have a lot of fun at stray cats(now moved to ponchatoula), chevys, extras, etc.

Wise guys is trying to mimic some of that old feel with their new building, outside of the city of course.

Eclipse is bringing back a “club” experience, I think do to how many restaurants Saul has, he is going to be able to get away with closing the restaurant and keeping the bar side open later.

Evidently, no one else is coming forward publicly from the hardcore underground scene.

I did some dumb shite in Hammond, Aftershocks & Neos in BR, and Fat City.

Great review! FYI Eclipse is staying open until 2 already.

I’ll be at Beeny’s around 5 this afternoon. If anyone wants to grab a drink.

Probably because most people who go there are from surrounding towns so they just stay in their own circles that they’ve always been in or they go to BR.

Not a true college town like one where people come from all over the state/country to attend.
