Has anyone tried to visit the "The Sandlot" baseball field from the movie in SLC?

We tried and unless I'm missing something it wasn't accessible or even viewable. Not in a nice neighborhood to say the least. If it's even still there.
My son and I rode around the neighborhood trying to find an entrance to it or where it used to be and was unsuccessful.

Does Google Maps count?
It was supposed to be a 1950s/1960s working class neighborhood, so they had to find a spot where the housing styles looked the part. Which means they used an older working class neighborhood that's somewhat run down in 1993 for filming. By 2022, that's a legitimately old and potentially sketchy part of town.
I think the built the facade for one of the houses and the fencing for the tree house. Obviously that's all gone and it's probably people's back yard.
The back of the "backstop" would have been behind this house here. A fence and a makeshift house was built just north of that (outside left field). It's just a vacant lot now...probably privately owned. You can still see that the 3rd power pole is leaning slightly just like it was in 1993 for filming.
From the movie - the pink brick house on the right in the picture below is the one on the left in the picture above, taken from opposite directions. The house on the left in the movie photo, along the right field line, is actually a duplex. You can still see the white shed (what's left of it) in the street view image:
Map of the area today:
Home plate would have been bottom left of that field behind those two houses. The tree house and the makeshift fence were built beyond left field for the film in the middle of that big lot. The character played by James Earl Jones lived in that house in the film.
Not much to see now. It's just a field.

I’m shocked to learn there’s bad parts of Salt Lake City.

Yep, and that's exactly what we saw. Nothing.
OK, that sucks. I read an article that in 2013 it was rebuilt by the city. I don't know how it went to shite that fast.
Thanks for your help.

I used to frequent there 15 years ago and it has gone down a little. It's still one of the prettiest cities I've been too.
