I was from a dry county. The bootleggers didn’t ID, so there was no reason to have one

Yeah I had a shitty one that looked like it was made on MSPaint.
Had a gas station clerk tell me he knew it was fake, but he didn't care enough to do anything about it. Sold to me for a couple years before I finally turned 21.
That man was the hero we all deserve. Never even upcharged me like other places in town would do to underage kids.

I never used one because I never needed it.
All my friends had fake ID’s in hs, and in college, I gigged in bars with a band so I almost never got carded anywhere. Heck, I almost never paid for my own booze until I turned 21.

I used someone else’s ID for years. Graduated HS at 17 and moved to Texas. Couldn’t enter rodeos without being 18 or guardians signature so I competed as someone else until I turned 18

Only reason I went to LSU spring testing was to get my "college backup" for those classy NOLA uptown bars.

Yes, in high school me and a couple of my buddies put on an order for fake IDs to a website called IDcheif that got shut down. It came shipped in a box of random stuff that you had to take apart and find them but they worked perfectly fine

Mine wasn't actually fake, but it was the non-driver's ID (thanks, DUIs) of an older friend who looked similar to me and had a comparable height and weight.
I made all kinds of money in HS buying liquor and beer for other students, until one fateful day.
I strutted in to the ABC store, confident in my purchase like any other day. I grab the order list and head to the counter. The cashier asks for my ID, and of course, I presented it with no hesitation.
She looked at it.

"What's your brother's name?"
"Oh, it's Andy."
"Does Andy have any other brothers?"
"No ma'am, it's just the two of us."
"Well, see, that's kind of funny. Andy is married to my daughter, and his brother was over at our place last night for dinner. That wasn't you."
I turned ghost white and began to stutter. She laughed her arse off, made me put the liquor back, and let me keep the ID.

I never knew anybody either. Most people I knew used their older brother/sister's or used somebody's that resembled them.

yeah for years, I got it taken away the very first time I used it because I didn't know the zip code. Had to pay the bouncer to get it back

We just drove over to Dallas and went to kopykat. They had giant red letters on the back saying "NOT A GOVERNMENT ID" that you had to scratch off. It was a bitch.

me and every nola guy in the jimmy club were from Texas with our ids back in 02-03. took it to lsu and had a good run till some kid drunk himself to death with the same type of id and the feds got involved
