I was Board President for 3 years
ran a tight ship, but I never sent a letter to a house without going up and knocking on the door at least twice first
the trick is to catch em at the beginning of the Divorce and the need a Man around the house

Well, when we first moved into this hood we joined the HOA, but then it dissolved (or whatever the term is)
Now they are trying to start it back but they can’t get the majority vote of the residents so I’m not joining a fake HOA. I don’t go to the meetings either. I don’t want to be friends. I was already kicked off NextDoor, so

I have. Actually did it on purpose as I was protesting our HOA president. My yard was flawless. Grass so thick you could walk on top of it. Fertilized and watered so much I mowed it every other day. Edging was flawless. I can work a weed eater like Chris Kyle works a sniper rifle.

I lived in a neighborhood where such awards were given. I walked by one day, and the new YofM sign was up next to the woman who was working weeding one of the beds.
I congratulated her on winning. Her response, "Oh, no, it's not my yard, I'm just the gardener."
