If you’re in the market for a backyard getaway or are looking for a possible solution to the housing market shortage, modern prefabricated tiny houses may be your answer.

Depending on the unit's size, features, and assembly requirements, Home Depot’s prefabricated tiny houses range from about $4,000 to $40,000. A curious user online posed the question in a tweet with an image of Home Depot’s $44,000 one bed, one bath 540 square-feet prefabricated house: “Thoughts?”

Although the product description states that it is "architecturally designed to provide extra-space outside of your home for personal use," one user reacting to the tweet said that “getting off the grid” may be easier than ever.

Politicians in San Francisco are going to sue to have Home Depot take this down. This will cut into the $300,000 price per homeless person they’re trying to spend to get them into housing.

Will it make my tiny dick look bigger? That could be worth the cost of admission.

Convert that into a box stand and it would be awesome for deer hunting. Put it up on some legs and you’d have something.

So, this is an example of a "mail order home" from a century ago.
Honestly, no even factoring in the price, which one would you rather order?
Today's architecture sucks.

This. Whatever you do don’t write “fragile” or “glass, handle with care”’on the box, cause the delivery apes at Home Depot will make certain to destroy the contents. frick Home Depot and Lowe’s. Both places need AI employees.

A co-worker from Massachusetts had a convo with me while we watched Hurricane Harvey coverage and seeing sob stories on people losing their house (mobile home) as they were blown down.

He said that their Nor’easter’s can get 80 MPH winds. All of their houses are built solid. But down here people are living in trailers and modular homes in hurricane ally.

I used to work with people who had enough income to buy a small house, yet they lived in trailers and instead spent their money on toys like side by sides. My housekeeper is about to buy a house and she is not even a citizen. I guess that is the southern lower middle class culture.

Perfect for one person.

I could do it. I've had condos and apts that were smaller.

Everyone in the family gets their own house. No bitching about who took over the sofa or messed up the den.
