How can I stop doves from nesting in my garage? (Besides a pellet gun)

A couple weeks ago, I found a nest on top on my garage door opener. I look, there were no eggs, so I took it down. Last week, they started building it again. I took it down again.
We’ve been leaving the garage door closed during the day, but if I forget and leave it open for 15 mins, they are back on top of the opener. These mofo’s are just sitting close by, waiting to come in.

Fake owl will work for a short time. But in my experience they get used to it.
I just keep tearing down their nests at the first sign they are making one, before they lay eggs. Seems to have worked.

50/50 mix pine-sol and water and spray the ceilings and walls down good
birds and wasps hate the smell and wont nest or come back there
also works great on porches and patios as well as under boat decks

Let them nest and watch the beauty of nature? I did that one year in my shop. Watched the eggs hatch, feeding the little mouths, blah blah... Was sitting outside when the little birds first jumped out of nest and my dog immediately ate every one of them. I looked at her and was like, oh well....

Put some type of dome on top so everything slides off.

cook a few of their relatives on an open grill in front of them.

I had the same exact problem. I bought a piece of chicken wire from Home Depot and made a cage to fit around the top where they couldn't lite or nest on it. It's been working for 5 years now.

Get some rubber snakes and bird tape. Maybe one of those owl decoys with he bobbing head, too.

This is what it sounds like when doves cry.
