How do I use a digital antenna?

Bought one a while back. Every time I plug it in and go to the right input, I get nothing at all. I’m in the middle of a city so I should get something, right?
Is there supposed to be a way to tune these things?

It's gotta be in the right spot. Hold it and walk around the room until you find something. If you find something randomly in the middle of the room 8 feet up put a ladder in the middle of your living room and put your antenna on it.

Should be an option to “scan for channels” on your tv menu. It will pick up everything

Some TVs make you do a channel search - check the menu

Run a channel scan from settings menu choosing antenna. It’ll pick up HD channels. I have 15 including ABC and Fox

Placed high and near a window seems to help.

One thing is for certain, you can dig a hole and throw the damn thing in it, cover it up, and build a shed on top of it and the damn thing would still have better picture quality than the shite ESPN/SECNetwork+ app.
OP....search for channels using the menu on your tv.

It is marketing, there is no such thing as a digital antenna.

Did you scan for available channels?

True, same for just about anything with the word digital in front of it.

I can pick up 10 or so HD channels on a set of rabbit ears that I got at Home Depot for $9. As some others say, you likely have some type of configuration problem. Check your inputs, connections and re-scan.

Make one of your kids hold it up and move it until the picture comes in, then stay put for 3.5 hrs.

go in your TV setting and scan for channels.

Wrong. They made the switch from analog to digital in i believe february of 2010. The picture is GOAT too. People my age (34) and younger seem to have no clue either. The ohio state Minnesota was watched on bunny ears at my home thursday night and my tv never has had a better picture

What everyone else said
Should be a scan for channels option
Should be like a digital and analogue option
Forget what option the antenna is for. My TV can scan for both simultaneously.

Biggest scam out there since putting Nitrogen in your tires...
We didn't have an antenna at work and this Westbanker I work with suggested using a paper clip placed in the "antenna screw in hole." I was like huh? Low and behold that shite worked after doing a channel search..
