This would be really odd. The background check really just says "yes, degree from X on date Y". The hiring manager would ask any degree related questions in an interview if they mattered.
You’re responding to a legitimate crazy person. Fruitless endeavor

Has a college degree and has to ask a dumbass question like this
Posted on 4/22/25 at 9:05 am to sidewalkside
I don’t even know where my degrees are

I also have a degree from the LSU business school. I don’t remember what it says. Been years since I looked at it. Not even sure where it is.

Because you nerds worry about what's written on your college degree. Like it impresses anyone.
I would venture that my brother has higher academic credentials and pieces of paper than over 99% of this board, and i never went.
He doesn't act like this, even though his achievements are much more than what's being flexed in this thread.
And my money spends just as well.

At least one person in your family isn't an a-hole, then. I thought we were talking about degrees and the potential implications on jobs, not about degree dick waving, anyway?

I just happened to look at it the other day and was like huh...i never noticed that. I don't care but it made me start wondering if it was some "misprint"

The guy in the OP wasn't trying to impress anyone. He was just asking about wording something correctly on a resume. A completely normal question.
What the frick is wrong with you? You sound like you have an inferiority complex about not having a degree and are overcompensating for it.
Trying to flex your anti-college stance in a completely benign thread is weird as shite.

Whatever you think will sound best for the job that you're applying for.
But don't stray too far, just in case your potential employer went there also.

Nah, we're all assholes.
One of the reasons he hates NOVA is because all of the pseudo-intellectuals with zero common sense or ability to be self sufficient.
He enjoys the people here in southern Oklahoma more than he does his patent lawyer peers from UVA. Before law school, he went to a top 20 med school. Before that, he got a bachelor's and master's in engineering.
He is credentialed, I can't be kept inside of four walls.

When I was hiring folks I didn't care about specifics, just school and degree. If it looked suspicious I would call the school.

Uh you think? Dude is addicted to coming into every thread and talking about how he’s retired and has his wife take care of him.
He thinks it’s a brag, but he comes off as a pathetic loser who can’t tie his own shoes (or button his own overalls)
