Cooked it Monday night. Usually cook about 3 meals worth and eat within 5 days but I’m going out of town tomorrow. Eating some tonight.

I’ll be back Sunday. Will it be good Sunday night? Just red beans and rice with smoked sausage

You’re fine. Do a smell test when you get back.

Have you reheated it any since you initially cooked it?

I cook 2 lbs and eat off of it for a week while reheating the entire pot. Maybe I should reheat just what I'm going to eat, but I've never become ill.

And how long did you leave it out each time.

Unless you are poor, toss it.

Just another food post in the OT that's a slap in the face of the Food board crowd. Cause people know the OT crowd is smarter than the Food board sous vide figs.

Convert it to gaseous form and it’ll hang around forever.

I keep it in a pot covered in the fridge. Scoop it out and then reheat.

I don’t reheat all of it

Should be fine then....just leave it in the fridge and dig in when you get home.

I cook alot on Sunday and eat on it all week. So long as your fridge works you’re fine. You’re nose will let you know.

All food has a 1 week limit for me. I hear people say 4 days or so for some items and that seems too short. I might not serve it to my kids or company, but I'll eat it on Sunday if I cooked it the Monday before.
