I'm 40, in pretty good shape, and I enjoy it. I also play a lot of tennis. Its a great game with a good change of pace from tennis. I will say it can be cringy to watch others play, but its fun to actually play it.
The game isn't as fun when your playing with less skilled players and that can apply to most sports.
You should try it out.

Grew up competing in tennis across the world. Played game very similar to pickle ball back in the late 60's

Bet I could beat you easily and I'm a 72 year old woman. You'd first have to get your FAT BUTT outside. By the way, we have National Pickleball Tournaments here in Austin and all participants are 30 and 40s.
