Hundreds of winged ants in my bathroom- what does it mean? (update w/pic)

Got home early today, and holy shite- hundreds of winged ants in one of the upstairs bathrooms. There are large winged ants and tiny gnat sized winged ants and a bunch of normal worker ants too. I have had ants before but nothing like this- not even crawling in a line just walking all over the walls floor countertop. Tons of them were like bunched up at the window trying to escape. What I have noticed is that their wings fall of really easily and then they like look like queens.
Is this exterminator time or should I just get some cheap ant spray? From what I can tell, they are coming in through some small holes cracks where the shower surface meets the wall.
I looked outside for a nest and couldn't find one

Don't use pesticide spray. Ants hate fire.

Termites bro. Check and make sure they are ants. Termites need water and typically enter the house that way.

Sounds like they're not hurting anything. Quit being a drama queen and let them be.

They are not termites. They are black ants. I have already compared them with tremor pics and they look different

One of two things:
1) The Apocalypse is coming
Or
2) they have eaten most of the wood in the house frame and are trying to get out before the house crumbles.

Check to see if they are flying ants or termites.

Its very possible that you may have some type of moisture problem or leak. The ants will usually go into damaged wood and carve out nests to live in. Getting rid of the moisture issue will in turn get rid of the ants.
At least thats what it sounds like it could be. Its too early for it to be swarmming termites.
