I Just Killed My Dad "Netflix" Baton Rouge Crime Story

Do any of you that live in Baton Rouge remember this story ?
Netflix's true crime documentary I Just Killed My Dad trailer released Thursday; the series revolves around the unbelievable, never-been-told-before true story of Anthony Templet and the Templet Family.
Anthony Templet shot and killed his father at home in Baton, Rogue, Louisiana, in June 2019 and never denied it (via TheAdvocate).
According to the report of WAFB, Anthony was sleeping when his father, Burt Templet, drunkenly woke him up in middle of the night at 3 am. The two started to argue over the phone with Burt's ex-wife Susan Templet, and the argument escalated quickly.

Who was the cool retired cop on that reality show that would drink whiskey outside his trailer and talk about getting that sum bitch Derrick Todd Lee or chasing down false leads on that LSU girl murder case? Was he on the case? If so, I’m watching.

Sounds like somebody had been fricking somebody. Maybe some indication of a reverse Bawpaw situation. I will have to watch.

His name was Rhodie or something like that and the show was called Killing Fields.

My favorite part of that show was them putting flyer up around the lake again incase the killer DTL was still casing the area.

I worked with the dad briefly. I actually was trying to get in touch with him about a job the day after the killing happened, and had talked to him the week before. It was very strange and surreal when I read the news that day.
I knew absolutely nothing about his home life though.
