I just saw a grown man walking through Publix with a pacifier in his mouth.

I didn't have time to get a pic. Is this a thing?
I'm not sure if it matters, but ftr, he was not white, or even tan. He looked to be in his early twenties.
Where were his parents when he was 2?
If either of my parents saw me walking around with a binkie in my mouth, after 2 years of age, I'd no longer be able to chew.

Sounds like you had quality parents.

That used to be a thing in the late 90's with ravers who were jacked up on drugs so they wouldn't grind and crack their teeth.

You sure it wasn’t a ring pop?

That was a thing in the early 90s in the culture. You must be a yoot.

You can tell that I'm not a yoot because I know the movie that is from.

I read something a while back that said they can be used for anxiety. I just can't see a situation where having a pacifier in my mouth in public could possibly reduce anxiety nearly as much as the anxiety produced by having a pacifier in my mouth in public would cause.

Always heard this was a culture/gang sign thing.

This was cool for a short period of time in the 90s & even then it wasnt a trend that really caught on. Was he fighting autism?

I can verify this happened often at the state palace theater.

I saw a guy in Nashville this weekend walking around with VR headset on and pacifier in his mouth. This younger generation is voluntarily taking themselves out of the gene pool.
