I mean wealthy European countries like Norway, Germany etc. I always hear media say it’s safer in Europe because they have no guns.

But the more I think about it, the lower class in the US is just more violent. I think there would be tons of stabbings, strangulations or other ways people would kill here while in Europe they just seem to be more civil.

The USA.

We have a large population of people who cannot self manage.

Us easily.

Now if we switched a few certain other things, the question becomes more interesting.

It’s not the guns, knives or whatever weapon that gets deployed, it is the people who live there.

People who love guns are the same tinfoil hat folks who think the British will invade again. Same people who are obese and couldn’t fight in a war if drafted tomorrow

It’s safer because Europeans have different value systems.

Europe is catching up to us though. But not because of native Europeans. Some of their imports, it seems, have increased violent crimes statistics. Who would ever thought allowing third worlders into your homogenous, civilized world would cause an issue. Shocker.

you're 100% correct OP. the number of guns may reduce murders slightly but most of them are just due to lower class shitty people.

I'll sacrifice a few deaths to maintain the ability to actually defend myself/my family. it is the last bastion of personal freedom. If you cannot defend yourself you have no rights.

It's not guns they have fewer of.

The more freedoms a society enjoys also places more responsibilities on individuals within that society.

Irresponsible individuals don’t handle certain freedoms very well. Freedoms are threatened when a society has too many irresponsible people within it.

The freedoms are often blamed for the problems instead of the irresponsible, and the easiest solution is to curtail or eliminate the freedom instead of dealing with the vast numbers of irresponsible on an individual basis.

After the end of World War 2, my uncle was a foreman in a cold storage plant. He was one of few white people that worked there. He related that come Monday morning some of his crew would invariably would show up wearing bandages from knife cuts. Some of them never showed up again. The knife action in the weekend bar fights seem to have been the primary form of entertainment for certain demographics at that time. Times have changed, but the culture has not.

I like killing feral hogs. Need a good rig for that.

Why do you want feral hogs to continue to cause billions of dollars of damage every year?

Law breakers in the US would still be killing left and right.

This is the left's wet dream in the US. They want their fellow voters armed at all times for that very reason.

If their dream came true for confiscation, the fist places they would hit would be red areas in the south. You know, where the white supremacists are. They would never dare enter an area where the demographics show over a 90% violent crime rate. Doesn't fit the lies they have been pushing for close to 30 years now.

Societies are not as heterogeneous over there. And their society has a lot of history. Way more than the US. They know their national identity.
