They just expanded into my area. I see that you pull up, stay in your car, and they are quick.
Any reviews from this board?

I use them sometimes. It's def quick and convenient, but you pay a little more.
In before the real men tell you that you should change your own oil.
Fck that.

I used them one time about 10 years ago and they stripped the head of the drain bolt. Never used them again.

I wouldn't recommend them

I've heard some pretty shady stories about all those in and out shack shops like 5 Minute, Jiffy Lube, Car Doc etc. etc.
I always go to the dealership.

Be glad it was the head of the bolt that was stripped and not the threads on the pan.

I'd be concerned on the type of oil filters and oil they use, but and oil change is an oil change

I've never had an issue, and I use them quite a bit. I am not a car guy though.

If they're so quick that you don't get out of the car, then they aren't changing the oil filter and they're not letting the old oil drain out completely. If you want it done right, do it yourself or bring it to the dealership or reputable mechanic shop.

A vehicle is the second largest investment the vast majority of Americans ever make in their life and oil is the single most important fluid in that investment to keep it from destroying itself and leaving the owner stuck with the costs of an engine replacement on top of their monthly loan payment.
So, sure, let the assembly line with minimally trained workers race to completely service this fluid system in 300 seconds or less. What could go wrong?
EDIT: Purchase, not investment. Leaving that frickup in, but clarifying that it isn't an investment.

They try and upcharge the crap out of you. Everything they mention is an extra fee. If you just want a regular oil change for $35, they aren't bad.
I don't like the oil, and am not paying $90 for them to put better oil in.

I use them, but I started when my car was like 7-8 years old and I didn't care as much. Never had an issue. Took it to dealership before that. 2006 4Runner.
Agree on the upcharges. They try to sell you everything from wipers to nitrogen to air filters to coolant.

No man, they change the fliter. When you have a bay, getting the filter is easy. Unless you have certain Mazdas and Mitsus, and BMWs(BMW paper filters suck). I worked as an oil change guy for like a month when I was 18.
All kind of tools to take a filter off quick. Wear gloves to deal with the hot oil. Oil drains really quick when warm.
Only thing that really sucked was f250s, they held a shite ton of oil.

A vehicle isn't an investment. Get that out of your head.

There are plenty of YouTube "Investigation" videos out there of these shops charging for services that weren't done.

They typically don't change the filter and make sure to Underhill the oil slightly.
I brought an old beater in a few years ago and waited until the guy said I was finished to walk in and raise hell. The thing had full body skid plates.
NOBODY was changing that filter in under half an hour.
