I'm going to Jazz Fest next weekend and thinking about buying a couple of these brass passes for $600 each (they are $1300 for the full week). Anyone have experience with brass pass? Is it worth it?

It depends on how much it’s worth it to you.
The private restrooms make it worth it if my wife is with me.

I don’t even see that the brass pass is available this year. Link?

A full newly purchased brass pass may be worth it to me to support WWOZ and get a small tax write off, but that doesn't matter for resale tickets like you're looking at.

It's not worth it for me because (1) I'm local, (2) I wouldn't use in and out, and (3) I don't see enough value in the lounge for difference in price. I'd personally put savings toward food/drink.

If not a Louisiana resident and thus paying full price daily, then yes I'd pay $600 for brass pass.

Thanks. I was looking at the jazzfest site. Not a bad deal. Bathrooms and shade are worth it if you go all days.

I don’t see myself going to the fairgrounds at all this year. Plenty of good music after the fest.

FYI, that $1300 price is for all 8 days of JF, not just one “weekend”, so $600 isn’t really much of a discount over the standard price.

We have done it a couple of times to support OZ. But, to us, it just wasn’t worth it for the few amenities it offers. I also think it was like $600-800 a pass last time I did it. $1300 is absolutely insane.

The tent is awesome when it’s hot.

Very legit tent. You walk in and it’s just a wall of fresh cut fruit, olive bar and ice coffees. But it lacks the real food options at some of the business tents like first horizon and shell.

If you like to go to jazzfest for 6+ hours a hospital tent goes a long way. I’ve never understood the appeal of coming and going with the brass pass. That seems like a lot of trouble.
