Netflix stand-up star and “Saturday Night Live” alum Mulaney has been open about his past struggles with sobriety, telling stories of his partying and prescription and illegal drug abuse from a young age. He first became sober at age 23.

He openly jokes about how drunk he gets and it’s some of his best material. It really barely seems to mesh with his public persona I had almost forgotten about those bits because of that.
The Coke think I guess isn’t surprising when you think about what it takes to make it in New York and for SNL but that’s more of a surprise to me than the alcoholism.

I also like the one about he and his friend putting on Tom Jones’ “What’s Up Pussycat” on the jukebox at a diner over and over again and watching everyone around them lose their minds.
