There is no one more racist than a white democrat. JBE saw the video, saw no benefit he could derive from it (in fact quite the opposite) and he swept it under the rug.

This is the key. He knew the footage existed, he even viewed the footage, and did so at least six months months before anyone outside the coverup knew footage even existed.
Was the governor part of the coverup? The facts and timeline don’t look good for him.

He was told as early as the next morning via text that "Troopers were involved in a lengthy violent struggle with an unarmed suspect that later died".
As the Governor, if the next two demands out of his mouth are not to view the body camera footage/use of force reports and the autopsy findings, he was complicit in the cover up through neglect of his duty to act.
But that won't matter to the black legislative caucus. You see the same lawmakers that told you black lives matter will now quietly give the Governor a free pass.
They certainly are not trying to replace him with a fat white Republican named Billy. Far too easy to extort him for the remainder of his term to get all their bills and other agendas advanced in exchange for their silence.
Funny how quickly those deep rooted principles from long passed transgression of racism and slavery can get compromised when you don't want the other party to take some power.
Bunch of used car salesman. You can see through them from a mile away.

The incident was reported to him that night. Why? Someone had to think it was big enough to tell the governor.
The “lost tape” was shown to the governor in secret over a year after the Greene incident. Why? Who thought that it was important to see the tape?
If it wasn’t a big deal why was Edwards called initially? And if it wasn’t a big deal, why was he shown the tape in private a year later? And since we all know now it was a big deal, how can anyone explain why Edwards did nothing?

He knew about it the morning after. We have the text from Kevin Reeves. He didn’t say anything because he was in the middle of a tight election and knew that if news got out that white officers had killed a black man, he would have lost the black vote and therefore the election.
That is motive and Honor Code John was a co-conspirator to the cover up. He should be in prison.
