My DIL is Armenian and she’s a U.S. citizen as well as her sister and husband- they are good people. They are U.S. citizens

It really is kind of impressive. Far better than what I thought they were doing, dressing up like a bear and intentionally hitting the person thus dressed with a car, on camera. and filing a claim.

They most likely own or have access to a body shop (notoriously shady industry), damage the car on camera, file a claim, and then jack leg the repair and sell the car OR export it somewhere.

My mother, who never had what one would call good sense when it came to picking men, dated an old boy from Louisiana who was involved in a gang who would rear end one another and sue one another and split the resulting claims. They did it for years, multiple times a year. Settlements were "small", $10k or so, but they thought it was worth the effort I guess. Pretending to be a bear is INFINITELY smarter than intentionally getting rear ended....in fact there were a couple of times that dumb arse was actually injured from those wrecks. He was also prone to slipping and falling in public places. The shite people come up with to get a little money and not have to earn it is always amazing.
