Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law aimed at supporting the Kremlin’s ongoing efforts to set conditions for domestic crackdowns and the removal of officials who have fallen out of favor.
Probably by requiring a certain percentage of windows on 3rd floor and above to be open at all times.
"fallen out of favor" == "fallen out of window"
It's what good Christian leaders like Putin do!

If this true that's really not bad and pretty much what everyone has been saying. My personal guess is Russia is going to rebuke it though

Yesterday, Trump said there’s a “very good chance” Ukraine and Russia will reach a deal this week.
Time will tell.

In temporarily occupied Donetsk, the situation with water supply has deteriorated even more — now water will be supplied only once every three days, reports the Center for Public Advocacy.
In some areas, there is no water at all — it is delivered by tankers. At the same time, locals are forced to pay for the service even without actual supply.
Problems have also been reported in Makiivka.

For the first time in years, Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated publicly that he is open to direct bilateral negotiations to potentially end the invasion Ukraine, as pressure for both sides to agree to a quick peace deal continues to build from U.S. President Trump and his Administration.
Officials from the United States, Europe, and Ukraine are set to meet later this week in London, where the Trump Administration hopes to receive a response to a document detailing terms and concessions for ceasefire from Kyiv, before eventually presenting the same to Russia.

According to the Kyiv Independent, Japan will share satellite intelligence with Ukraine for the first time. Japanese company iQPS will provide Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery to Ukraine’s military intelligence (HUR). Full integration is expected within 2–3 months. A good post by Michael Weiss on the unforseen problems for Putin and Trump in the US rush to give the Russians everything they want in order to declare a 'cease fire / peace'.
LINK
quote:
I've been emphasizing lately the unintended consequences of Trump's headlong embrace of Russia -- consequences not wholly undesirable for Russia
quote:
A helpful constant in this administration's rush to give Putin everything all at once is that the worst capitulationist ideas are being stress-tested in the media and in the GOP almost as soon as they're invented -- and often *before* the Trump administration has agreed on whether or not they're feasible. One of ideas these is that the U.S. will recognize Crimea as Russian territory.
quote:
...handing Crimea to Putin also runs into some significant legal and political obstacles in the United States. U.S. recognition of Russia’s annexation of Crimea (and other occupied territories of Ukraine) is prohibited by a series of laws and executive orders, including ones issued by Trump in his firs term.
quote:
... for instance, E.O. 13660 and 13685. Many of these provisions were further codified by the Countering America's Adversaries Through Sanctions Act (CAATSA), designed in no small way to tie Trump's hands with respect to Russia sanctions during his first term. He nonetheless signed this act into law in 2017, quite possibly because he didn't understand it and it was too complicated to pictorialize with a Sharpie. Waiving CAATSA sanctions requires a Congressional vote.
quote:
While this may not put the kibosh on the Crimea sell-out, it certainly complicates it in a way that might have been avoided if the pro-Russian camp in the U.S. government didn't try to do so much so quickly with big, goofy smiles on their faces. My guess is Witkoff faces stronger internal opposition for his ongoing Iran diplomacy, which is so far shaping up to be the preliminaries of JCPOA 2.0.
But continually overpromising and under-delivering on Ukraine has its downside, too. Namely, the Russians get frustrated and impatient at their own agent of influence's inability to close, and that means their man in the White House gets frustrated and impatient. Before you know it, he's threatening to "wash his hands" of the whole affair.

It's basically Kellogg's plan.with a 5% change.
Russia is going to reject it. Trump will then walk if he has any brains.
The biggest mistake Trump has made is he should have walked on day 2 of his administration.
He finally said what I stated he should say months ago last week: This is Biden's war. I did not start this war. I am going to end US involvement immediately.
He has wasted three months.on fruitless negotiations because he is dealing with two parties that do not want peace. They want to kill each other. And he has dealt with idiotic Europeans.that have actively tried to kill any peace process.
If the US stays involved with this it will end.up being a catastrophic defeat that Trump is hung with. Maybe he now realizes that and now is willing to walk.
Trump should tell Zekensky and Putin that you can do what you want to do and he should tell the Europeans to GFY after he emphasizes that the US will.not.provide any Article 5 protections to any country because of their actions regarding Ukraine.

I think Trump distancing himself from NATO/Europe and cozying to Russia opens up the possibility of his peace plan actually getting some thought.
It would be a real victory for Trump to crow about for years.

You are going to be extremely disappointed then. If Trump proposes what I heard yesterday the Russians are going to reject it quickly. But at least Trump will then have an offramp.

No, he couldn’t. He campaigned on being the deal maker and over and over again he said he would end the war.

You misspelled Putin. Biden just reacted to what Putin did to widen the conflict into a full scale war

Russia is the only one that doesn’t want peace. Not until they have made Ukraine surrender.

Like it or not the US is the premier country in the world. If we idly stand by we will lose our big stick and we will see other countries trying to take advantage. Isolationist policies never work. The world is too small.

Trump doesn’t need an off ramp. He’s already bailed from the situation.

Mr. Fight until you are all dead because of honor even though you have no chance in hell of winning.
You are the absolute most delusional nut on here. You are not a serious rational person.
You are the type that refuses to accept any reality and would stand for hours arguing with a damn stop sign.
You are a carbon copy of that neocon GOP Tiger and a perfect example of a Troskyite.

Then why is equipment and ammo still being delivered?
Why is.intelligence still being provided?
Why are US personnel still involved in this?
You.people bitch if he pulls anything but then accuse him of bailing while he still provides all of the things I listed.
Make up your mind.
