Let's talk Murphy Beds - Anyone have one they recommend?

We have a guest room/play room/workout room/etc. that is actually a very big bedroom with a queen bed in it. We want to keep the queen bed option with a "real" and comfortable mattress for elderly parents/friends, but have it up against the wall. Murphy bed makes a ton of sense here.
Problem is two-fold: too many damn options out there and seemingly questionable quality (MDF, etc) on a lot of them. Every "expert" recommendation is different and likely paid for.

Honestly, I would build my own if that's what I was looking for, but they're too dangerous for my liking.

How about a smurfy bed instead?

Because they fall on people? I haven't even considered the danger

I would likely install some additional locking latch on it.

Murhpy beds belong in studio apartments not a house

They fall on people. People get trapped in them.

Normally agree and I was not for the idea, but I've reconsidered. This room would greatly benefit from.
I appreciate your opinion on Murphy Beds in general, but I think we've made up our mind on them. They can look really nice if done right. I'd build in shelves on either side, wrap base boards around it, and have art on it and a desk in front of it when not in use.
Like this, but we have better taste in color and furniture:

Put a Murphy Bed in this past year in a guest room that typically doesn't get used. Opened up the room now for workouts/extra office space. Its been great. Bought one online from Wayfair and better qualifty than I expected.

We got this one from Costco pre covid.
Costco murphy bed
doubles as a desk when we don't have guests.

Both of those white cabinets are Murphy beds
Mother in law wanted them for a long time and did a bunch of research. She's very happy with them.

Those are the chest beds which I considered but the mattresses freak me out a bit. Not sure how comfortable?

I personally haven't slept on them but they're said to be comfortable. I think she puts an egg crate on them maybe. Not sure.
