If he buys some boobs like that Houston anchor, he can make some real $$$$.

Bob Breck hasn't won near as many awards as Lee. Breck is an annoying little twerp.

From the few people I've known who have been local news personalities, they make "ok" money ($50-$75K). There's no shortage in the supply of talent. For every reporter, there are probably 100 people who are trying to get that job (sending in reels, current producers, etc.). The main anchors who have been around for awhile in small/middle markets are probably making somewhere around $75K - $100K if I had to guess.

Same thing in radio, when I was in it. That's why they lowball the frick out of reporters, and especially disc jockeys.

This disability lawsuit says that Lynn Zatarain was making 168K at WDSU in 1992. She was the highest paid anchor at the time. That is way more than I thought they made...especially for the early 90s.

Jennifer Reyna.

Good choice.
I've always liked her too. She needs more face time.

Tamica's fine arse ain't getting out of bed at 3am to get all dolled up to report the traffic from 5 to 9am for less than 100k a year, IMO.
If she does, she's not using her body correctly.

I don't know if this was from some sort of golden age of anchor salaries but here is a blurb from John Snell's DWI plea.

Emphasis mine and apparently some local anchors have scored even more since.

I can help you with this as I used to be a producer at a station in Tyler. (at the time it was market 111)
Depending on their seniority, what time they were on the desk, and how much editorial work they did, our anchors made anywhere from $60k-$100k. There were a few anchors (a morning and a 5pm) that doubled as reporters who were on the low end of the scale. The 6/10 anchors and the longtime morning guy made the most.
shite...amazing at the difference between market 111 and market 136. One of our anchors makes on the upper end of that range but he's also the assistant news director. The rest....not so much. No where even close to the bottom end of your range. I'm sure our Chief Meteorologist makes a good bit...but I'm not sure. I do, however, know how much all of his equipment costed about two years ago and.....

The reporters (who did the vast majority of the work) were getting absolutely boned though. They were making $20k-$25k.
Same here. 25k seems to be the going rate for the lower end/newer reporters. A couple reporters have been here for 20+ years...so they make a decent wage.
People dog Journalists all the time for several reasons....but kudos to them for staying strong while making shite wages. a few have recently gotten out of the business completely because of the bullshite they have to deal with and such a shite salary.

I don't think Sachse makes a mil. I just don't see any non syndicated anchor making anywhere near that. Now, she did marry some millionaire terd with old balls.

If Snell is making that then so is Zurik.

He's talking about the federal, BP money and brother in law contracts that Billy stole during the oil spill.
