When i say replaced i mean inside handler , thermostat, outside unit etc?? What would be avg cost for something like this? Yes i could google it but was hoping maybe someone had this done recently just to get a few ballpark prices..

Prepare to mortgage your house to pay for it.
I live in a 1200 sq ft house, and my HVAC just went out. For a 2 1/2 ton unit, they wanted 6 grand.

about 12k+. When I replaced mine at my old house, there was Greensky Financing(I think) or Wells Fargo loan, I can't remember which, they offered 24mo/0%. I paid it off early, you may want to try that option also.
