Looking for a good Veterinarian in Baton Rouge.

After taking our dogs to the same veterinary clinic for years, we are ready to change vets. An eye ulcer in our golden retriever was initially misdiagnosed and now we are concerned that she may ultimately lose it, as it is not getting any better.
We have considered changing to a different vet for a while now, because the Dr. we liked recently retired from the clinic and they have been trying to upsell us like crazy every time we bring the dog in. It is really irritating. Just treat the dog and send us on our way.
Any recommendations for good veterinarians in Baton Rouge?

My parents take their dogs to Dodge City Veterinary in Denham Springs. These dogs have all kind of crazy issues including many eye issues from age, running in to things, etc. My wife had cats for a long time. We had no luck with Baton Rouge vets. I know Dodge city has been around for a long time.

I used Kleinpeter in Baton Rouge. I now use Jason Williams in Clinton Animal Hospital now.

I just used the lady at East Feliciana Animal on Hwy 10 but can’t remember her name.
In BR I use Tim Armstrong.

Dr. David Butler is very good and he won't try to push unnecessary things on you.

Save yourself some money, bring it to AVS and let them pull that thing out of there and patch it back up.
Your dog can then be dressed up as a pirate for Halloween.

Stay away from the LSU Vet School unless you want to be raped.

I second this. Excellent guy and a great vet. Village Animal Clinic on Oakdale Drive.

Just outside of BR, however I am big fans of Amy Grayson and Jonathan Heintz at Dutchtown Animal Hospital.

This is where we bring our dogs. Always been very satisfied with them and I feel like the prices are fair.

I like AVS too. They’re very practical and affordable.
