This doesn't surprise me. I drink the water here, even in the city.

Not Maui. I lived in Lahaina and the water was undrinkable.

I'd put Baton Rouge by itself in the Top 3.

Seriously just delicious tap water

I bet people are shocked to see that. I had family from St. Louis swear our tap water tasted awful, and I had to explain to them that it was in their head. Artesian Springs and all that.

Our tap water here in Lafourche Parish is pretty damn good. Ultimately it's coming from the Mississippi River via Bayou Lafourche.

Baton Rouge water does taste good but you feel all slimey in the shower. Took me a while to get used to that.

Ours comes from an alpine stream above the city. About as pure as you can get.

If you exclude the New Orleans water system, we could maybe be #1 on that list

Yep, to be able to turn brown sediment rich water into drink able water is one major feat.

Now we just need to find away to better protect it. By increasing the the flow down Bayou Lafourche and ensuring contamination sources like Crescent Midstream doesn’t flow into the Bayou.

Water in the north shore from the Kentwood aquifer is also good.
