LPOTL listeners, what are your thoughts on Ed Larson?

Set aside the issue of Kissel’s departure, how are you liking Ed? I think he’s a breath of fresh air, he usually brings funny commentary and I like his rapport with Henry especially. He also does at least some bare minimum reading on the subject which I think increases his contribution.

I was totally caught off guard by his removal/absence. I haven't been listening to any new episodes because I've been re-listening to old episodes in order. I caught wind of Kissell being removed when I visited the subreddit one day to kill time, and I saw all these posts about "Ben's statement" or "the Rolling Stone Article" or "the statement from the boys" and I tried to read about it and get the details. Immediately it was obvious it was a total dramatic mess. The LPOTL subreddit went into civil war over it and still seems to be a shite-show.
Apparently ol' Ben transformed from a big ol' stinky drunk into a big ol' scary angry borderline violent drunk that did some questionable things towards some ladies he was dating. He left the show to go into rehab I think, but I'm not real sure. There's been loads of drama between Ben's female accusers and Henry's wife and other people that know them and are associated with the Last Podcast network.
Fans are pissed because Henry and Marcus really don't ever address it on the show, they just popped Ed in there and moved on.
Some fans feel they are owed an answer.
Other fans don't.
There's probably a bunch of legal "who-knows-what" up in the air regarding future compensation, Ben's ownership stake, etc, and that's why many people, including me, are fine with not knowing the finer details of the whole story. It's just too much of a mess to want to care.
It made my head spin, so I just went back to listening to old episodes about serial killers and skinwalkers. Much more soothing and relaxing.
