The level of stupidity measured by that chart is mind blowing.

We are so fricked as a country. Our population is honestly just too stupid at this point to allow us to turn it around.

In fairness, if a person consumes any U.S. media, I can't entirely blame them for thinking this.

There's no way that 1% of the population is trans...

That's a lot of mental illness if so.

Where I live I would estimate that those who possess good rhythm and drive altimas and mustangs in circles are 95% and those who mow their yards and wait patiently in line are 5%.

I asked my wife this years ago, and she thought it was around that.

People have zero clue, and if you just go by TV and don't care to look into the actual stats, then you'd probably assume the same.

The number is so far off from reality though it makes people live in a world day to day that is literally fantasy.

I think its more or less people who stay put in the same state, especially a state like LA or MS where the population is 50/50 or near that.

According to this people think 92% of the US population live in NYC, Cali, and Texas? So only 8% live in the rest of the nation? Not surprised.

Think about where the media is based out of and how big texas is economically. Doesn't make perception reality though.

Nothing compares to the mid-covid chart where polled democrats believed the death rate from covid was something like 50%.

Well it is.

Many Americans get their entire worldview from which TV shows they watch, the advertising they consume, what they see on social media, etc

All of this media uses algorithms now so you see the things that you look for, everyone is living in their own echo chamber. This is why there is so much division these days.

There are people on both coasts who literally think people in middle America are barefoot, can't read, and slaughtering minorities on a daily basis.
