Swans are usually mean and ornery birds, but this guy rescued an egg, hatched it and raised the bird. The swan must have imprinted on him as mother. That bird loves that guy.

Thank you for this. With so much negativity and evil out there this was a nice change.

The swan loves the guy, but goes to bite his wife when she gets too close. Parrots do that too. My son was the African Grey's human and constantly begged attention and a scratch behind the head, but only he could do that.

Nothing impresses me more about a person's character than how they treat animals when they have nothing to gain. People who rescue a strays, foster animals, guys like this, etc. get an A+ as far as I'm concerned.

The Dodo is always good for little videos like that. Good stuff.

I'm impressed the swan is smart enough to recognize him. Figured they had pretty tiny brains. That was really cool.

A swan drowned a maintenance guy at a golf course near Chicago a few years ago.

An African Grey parrot has a small head and brain, but can get vocabularies of over 600 words. Having had one, they do understand what they say. Tried to teach it to say, "I'm a stupid bird," but it was too clever for that. Hilarious bird.

I reckon so.
I bet in a million years, he never would've thought he would die like that.
If I remember right, he was paddling around the pond in a kayak spraying the weeds with herbicide.

This is great. I like animals more than people. Long read but worth it.
Before Katrina hit we were out prospecting some land for a potential hunting site. A chocolate lab comes up to me & my buddy. Very friendly, playful, & smiling. Asked around, no1 claimed him so I took him home.
A couple months later he rides out Katrina with us. As we clean up he follows me every where. This dog had a mind of its own & starts pulling branches out & actually took them to the pile. He did a lot of work.
I begin to recognize a strange behavior, not bad, just restlessness & got the feeling it was time for him to continue his journey. So I put a collar on him with his name, Rosco, & my info.
He would usually come in the house but that night he wouldn’t. Next morning I thought he’d be gone but he comes running up from the other side of my property with something in his mouth.
This dog brings me a Bible he’d found amongst the mess Katrina made. I take it, he looks at me, rubs himself against me, loves on me, and takes off. I’ve never seen him again.
Just an unbelievable animal & I’ll never forget the joy he brought me in a difficult situation.

Yeah, but if a swan comes at me I’m snapping that mf’s neck.
