Man stabs a group of young people as they assault him for looking for his phone in river

Nicolae Miu was looking for his phone when he ran into a group of young people who proceeded to harass and assault him, pushing him to the ground and punching him. He pulled a pocketknife he used for cutting rope while tubing and cut five of them, one of whom didn’t survive. He’s now on trial, and argues that his actions were in self-defense.
I don’t know when this happened but sorry if I posted something that is old.

He sure had a crazy look in his eyes but he didn't stab anyone until they pushed him under water and hit him in the face a couple times.

Those kids were loud and annoying.
They went into some kind of juvenile moronic frenzy and started attacking him.
They deserved to get stuck a few times. Dude laying over in the water with a gut stab and nobody paying attention to him.

Based on what I've seen so far with the witnesses, and the video, he is not-guilty for reason of self defense. I can't get over that virtually everything is shown on the video but not Miu "hitting" the girl first. Not to mention the State witnesses have given contradictory information about the "hit".
Miu's attorney's have done an amazing job on cross and did a great job at jury selection. There is a 90 year old and 3are 70+ in the pool. Just a horrible job by the State to not weed those elderly individuals out.

He also lied his arse off to the cops about what happened from what I was reading earlier. He tossed the knife in some bushes off the bank, when the police found him he acted like he had no idea anyone got stabbed and then later said he took the knife from one of the boys (before he knew there was video). Not great if you’re looking for self defense…

He brought that on himself based on what he told police after being arrested.
Interestingly though they didn't charge him with tampering with evidence which they absolutely could, and should, have based on him tossing the knife into the woods after the stabbings.
