That's the easiest way to win, sacrificing your left arm, and then ripping his throat out with your right. yeah it's going to hurt like a bitch, but once you get him hooked onto your arm, then he can't kill you. Only way that dog is killing you is if he gets your neck.

an actual man and not a vagina should win every time.

I don't know. I think the dog is a really good sleeper pick in this battle if it gets the arm and starts tugging it around like a limp noodle.

i never said let it bite you. that would be stupid.

that dog is gonna charge full speed. I think I could break its ankles with a shimmy shake like a Running Back.

Shoving your fist down the dog's throat is the best tactic. They lose leverage in their jaws when wide open, so actually little bite damage to the arm.

My German Shepherd Dog is 85#. Bit me once when we first got him (as an adult dog. Rehab project, and the last time he made that mistake with anyone). Like slamming my hand in a car door with teeth. GSD actually has higher bite PSI than a pit bull, but can't hold it long like a trashy pit pull can.

you can also hold the muzzle shut easily, they're like an alligator very little power to open jaws when held closed.

If you could train him to use his paws to poke a man's eyes then I think he would stand a better chance. We know that we could poke his eyes and render him useless. The German Shepherd doesn't know that. However if I saw one charging at me I would reach into the back of my pants and pull out a Lincoln Log which would have quickly appeared and smear it in his eyes, because I would be scared

having a lab mix myself that loves to chase cats, but doesn't know what to do once he catches them, I have never been so enamored with the ever present battle/stand-off of cats v. dogs. It's one of the more incredible phenomena on the planet IMO

This is really no contest. The human wins every time. That's not to say that the dog will do no damage. Of course it will. But a human is an incredibly dangerous animal that can take an amazing amount of damage before going down.

The problem is that the dog has basically one real attack option, and no defense at all. Human arms and legs are not only both attack and defense options, but they are also expendable. If a dog miraculously takes out one limb, there's three others to deal with.

Sure, the human weakness is the throat, but the dog has to leave the ground to get to it, rendering it completely vulnerable while doing so. I just don't see a single dog killing a single man in a straightforward fight to the death.

Now, two German Shepards? Now, things get interesting. Three, even more interesting. I would even favor the dogs, then.

The "man vs dog" fight threads are so stupid. Any grown man(in his right mind, with no physical or mental handicap) that can't defend himself against any 1 dog of any breed didn't deserve to live anyway.

My question is what do you do when the dog inevitably gets a hold of your forearm and starts shredding it like cheese and you're bleeding out all over the place?
Stick your finger in it's butt? (Quote added)

wow man. You are really under estimating the power of just one bite. Say the dog first goes for a leg. BOOM there goes a 4" hunk of flesh. Now the man is bleeding out very rapidly and is hobbled.
The dog then finishes him off.

The man has a chance of pinning the dog down. But a pissed off GS is likely 5x as quick as a fast human.

2 GS dogs would ANNIHILATE any grown man.
