Yeah. Poster clearly isn't forum savvy and comes in in a weird manner both in timing and attitude that they probably don't even comprehend.
The poster claims to be a 1st cousin; Coon would be 75 today so the cousin is likely 70-80 years old this the forum awkward communication.
Obviously, the loss still stings and hopefully something shakes loose from the podcast and OT attention on the murder.

Came across this comment which was saved from one of the old Nola.com stories or a forum.
Although I think it misses the mark, still pretty on point from way back in 2007.
(Odd that that's "way back" now).
I wonder if someone would try to ask Currie about it. She's around 83 and was sentenced to 22 years in prison around 5 years ago, so it seems she'd have nothing to lose by confessing to it, but then again she sounds like such a complete and utter psychopath she probably would not.
ETA: Some good reading, the decision on her appeal of her conviction. LINK

Margaret Coon was murdered by mistake! She was mistaken for the current lover of a notorious northshore lesbian who lived within walking distance of the murder scene. And, yes, the murderer was a female!!!!!

If it was a professional hit or someone trying to make sure their dirty laundry doesn't get aired it makes plenty of sense

Unless they were wanting to send a message.
But I don't think it was.

She was killed an hour earlier than reported
Lived across the street, wife daughter coming home saw dog, daughter got out of the car, tried to get the dog but it kept growling.
Would not allow her to get close, now we know it was guarding the body, called security.
Woke up next morning with police all over, told them the story
Several years her Dad called us for our info
Sad, yes she was stabbed.
Rumor she was gay

If Seth Rich could say hello, he would.
Think of every mob hit you have heard of and ask yourself, did the hitman stage it as a robbery?

You should check out the podcast. I've been checking into the story here and there over the years and have never heard 1/5 the info discussed there.

The podcast has shed new light and new information on this bizarre case. It seems anywhere the authorities cold screw it up, they did. There's no way it gets solved without a confession. That's the only way murders are solved in St Tammany.

No it's not. A professional hit is a professional hit.
The knife placement had to be precisely done to kill her quickly and efficiently.

The podcast is very interesting. Looks like Currie is the killer but nothing will happen without a confession. That lady is a fricking loon.

St Tammany hasn’t changed that much. Same group of families trying to hold on to their little fiefdoms and covering up weird sex stuff, back room deals, and bought and paid for law enforcement.

Which families are you referring to?

Not really.

I’m reading this thread because my parents house was two blocks from the scene of the murder. I was a sophomore at LSU at the time. I remember hearing about the murder but still have no clue about a suspect or motive.

Law Enforcement family's, Judicial Family's, Legislative Family's.
Ever wonder why the previous Sheriff just up and retired? That opened the door for the St Tammany Machine to groom BooBoo for that job.

It’s quite apparent the crazy licker was privy to everything that happened. Either did it herself or had it done. Hopefully she confesses before she dies in prison.

I just listened to a podcast about this .. Sox eisodes and now I’m waiting for the next one.

Well her dad was interviewed for the podcast and he said a week before she died she insisted that he take a key tovher condo in the event something happened to her.
She very well may have known someone was after her.
