The corporate way now is to reward perceived activity not actual productivity.
So everyone multitasks in a subpar way as opposed to focusing on an few important things and doing them well.
Multiple that over time….
You end up with 10% of the people doing 90% of the work.

Wow! There are a ton of morons that can't read the original message. He said he FINISHED the presentation and stood in the back and made these observations. I think I see the problem now

A lot posters understood exactly what he meant, including me.
If someone presents something well, and does it in an entertaining and engaging fashion, some members of the audience will approach with questions or comments.
It seemed like everyone was pretty bored during and after, his presentation.

Why are they so complicated?
Well whenever I've been to a work conference my co-workers and bosses have not given a shite that they spent money for me to be there and still emailed me things to do. I'm not going to be working after the conference during the dinner and social hours, nor playing catch-up when I get back.
So if its a break and they are doing it, probably the same.
If its during a speaker, the speaker is just boring and not engaging at all.
Sooo.....what this guy said.

Some of us they can't leave alone or their world crumbles because they don't know how to do anything anymore.

If the material is relevant I am interested. I’ve been to dozens of conferences where it was essentially a vendor event and the speakers were just filler with barely enough material to be covered in an email.
That being said, actively playing on your phone in front of a speaker is a bad look to everyone. Even if you are zoned out, either eyes forward or leave. The ladies pounding a keyboard are no better.

People who stress all the time are idiots. There isn’t anything that needs to be urgent if you set deadlines appropriately.

Sounds like your role is non-critical and no one gave a shite

White knighting for the compulsive liar of the OT is a bad look.

Everyone failing to read seems to be assuming that everything you described was occurring while you were speaking and not while you were observing the audience during the next presentation. More evidence of the lack of attention span beyond the first sentence.
This board is retarded. OP may be retarded too but this board as whole absolutely is.
Oh and to answer OPs question. Women have to work twice as long to get the same amount of work done.

False, you’re clearly not familiar with Douche Tacs shtick

This sounds like the classic a lot of ME energy.
The presentation, and all the mental masterbation that went into it, sounds like when it hit, reality. distored, meaning your out and all the people you who listened was not effectied at all by the material.
Ole, Baw must have thought he was a hotshot from the ol`e local office then stepped up and got shown whats up. .
Must have all the old hens at the office talking you up and complimenting your smart and unique "insights" that are all but common sense to the average drueling happy ending massage wheeling joe.

Clearly the crowd found out what we all already know: everything you say is total lies to try to sound cool.
Too bad they didn’t taze you.

You’re getting shite on, because you’re you and you suck, but you’re not wrong here
