Mills Darden - A Human Marvel

This guy was said to be twice the size of Andre the Giant, at 7’6” 1100 pounds. He could perform hard labor all day on a farm and lived to be 58.
Whether or not it’s true, let’s assume it is for a second.
How many average men would it take to beat him at a tug-of-war?
Even without a background in powerlifting or strongman, such an individual should be super strong.

What kind of saintly woman had the time and energy to make 30 fricking biscuits.

You know why we eat purple hulls/black eyed peas and greens on NYD, right?

I was always told that we ate them because Yankee soldiers thought they were only fit for livestock, and Rebs were able to survive off of them because they were the only thing left after a razing. Which leads in to good luck.

Never heard that but seems plausible.

She probably made 31. She had to eat too.
My grandmother told tales of her day being straight thru fixing breakfast, lunch, and dinner on their family farm.
