We can all agree that was a massive black stain on what was a decent show leading up to it.

Hopefully trips has something up his sleeve to attempt to make this right.

Is today Rusev day?

I have been thinking about the main event.

What if the point of Cena’s cheap, unsatisfying win—with help from a celebrity outsider in Travis Scott—was that it wasn’t supposed to feel earned or triumphant? What if that was the story?

Cena turned heel to break the record and get 17. He’s spent weeks telling fans he doesn’t care anymore—that they’re ungrateful, that nothing he does is ever enough. He walks out in black-and-white, stripped-down entrance, no hype, no joy. He wins dirty and coldly declares himself the “last real champion.” That’s all on brand with what he’s been saying.

This could be building to something bigger: Cena eventually loses the title back to Cody, maybe even as a heel. Then, in a final face turn, he comes back for one last clean win—his 18th—at SummerSlam with a full crowd celebration. And then, on his retirement show, he passes the torch for good.

Basically, the bad feeling we got last night? That might be exactly what Cena and WWE wanted us to feel. Because it proves his point: the fans will never be satisfied.

Then we see where it goes from here

So today is the day wrestling is going to be ruined. Am I going to have to find another hobby? Sounds like a lot of work.

That may have been the thinking but it was still horribly, horribly executed

It was just bad, there's not really any defending it. It is what it is, they just gotta try to do the best they can going forward

Rock not showing and our collective expectations given last year really messed things up but then they did really bad with what they did have

I'll say this, it's pretty clear to me Cena is past the point of being much of a worker. He was never good but he was better than he was last night. I don't think it killed the match but it didn't help anything

Evening all!

I’ve been coming and going awhile in tMNRT (just like I make Liv, Rhea, and Raquel do in our regular orgies) because my office tv doesn’t have the Netflix on it to enjoy Raw live in peace. Pedro- who put you in charge and where the hell is rt3? This is that damn G’s fault I’m sure.

frick HHH. He better be able to resurrect Moolah, Macho Man, and Gorgeous George if he wants to atone for than flaming bag of horseshite over the weekend.

He should've done us all a favor and made Night 2 an "in person only" event rather than the Roast. It sounds like it was the highlight of the weekend.

frick HHH.

I watched a little bit of it last night. Now I know why I quit watching years ago. The storylines are terrible and there is nothing believable about it anymore. It stopped being good 20 years ago.

Hoping for a good show tonight. Hoping for some good surprising returns and call ups.

What the? I'm not the one who skips out on his thread-starting duties week after week. He's abandoned us just like that deadbeat did with the Greatest IC Champ of All Time.
