I'm just thankful to God Almighty I have a mother and a father to appreciate every year.

This was the first Mother's Day without mine. She died the week before so I was still in shock. I imagine all the holidays this coming year will be rough. Still have my dad at least.

Glad I still get to spend both days with my parents… Also glad to spend Father’s Day with my 2 boys. My oldest was born on Father’s Day 4 years ago. Best Father’s Day gift ever

My wife asked me today what I wanted this year… Told her just let me sleep in as late as I want lol

I have a unconventional approach to Father's Day.

To me, Father's Day is a time of reflection upon my children. I write both of my kids (son and daughter) a letter telling them how much I love them and how they have impacted my life. I don't expect anything. I DGAF about gifts, I don't care about pomp and circumstance. The day is not about me, but about what I have created and raised. It is one of my favorite days of the year.

These terms are acceptable.

As a dad I really could care less about receiving anything I will just invite the kids over for a cookout and call it a day. Now let's make this very clear after I partake in this great meal dad may just want to sit on the couch and past the fuq out. Love you kids but you know the way out. Another successful father's day in the books.

As long as Scruffy gets a day of peace and quiet, he will gladly take that meal!

When my wife and I were attending a non-denominational church, during Mother's Day, the women were showered with gifts. Gift cards, spa certificates, gift bags, etc. The role of the single mother was highly praised that day.

For Father's Day, the pastor came in and said "Oh hey...Happy Father's Day.... you husband's need to start helping your wives out at home and quit looking at porn....now on to our sermon about tithing".

Father's day has to be racist, right?

Shouldn't it be "spread my seed far and wide" day?

Guess it depends on your culture.

Damn, I’m going to do this and write one for my dad too. Thank you!

Funny part is, the Father pays for both meals!

All jokes aside, that’s pretty much how it is in my household but not to that extent. My wife cares so we do whatever she wants that day and she 100% deserves it. I don’t care about Fathers Day, so my wife cooks me my favorite meal and it’s just a regular Sunday in my house.

Father’s Day is the one day of the year that’s not Mother’s Day.

Yep, that pretty much sums it up. The boy and I will be worming cows and fixing fence all weekend.

Wife: What do you want to do for father's day?

Me: Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Wife: Oh come one, there's got to be something you want to do.

Me: I want to wake up, sit on the sofa, and not move.

Wife, obviously aggravated with me: Fine.

Wife, hours later: We're going to our friends house for a cookout and so the kids can swim.

Me: ...

Really, I was probably going to do some work around the house. Work on the garden if its not raining. Or do some small repairs inside that I've been putting off. But it looks like I'm now going swimming.
