I have two businesses in New Orleans that can run remotely for the most part (healthcare), but this place has declined to a point that I can no longer justify staying regardless of the businesses. I have to be able to drive in every 7-10 days and deal with some things for work, but wife and I are looking to potentially move with our 4 kids to MS gulf coast. I figure I can be close enough to drive in and check on things but far enough away from the blight that is New Orleans. Ocean Springs has been recommended but I wonder what areas people would recommend in the area for someone moving there so that we can begin to narrow our search.

What's up from me now on the Northshore sitting in traffic. Please don't come up here. We are booked.

It’s always amazing to me that people will make life changing decisions like where to live with a young family based on the recs of the OT.

How about you go visit and see what you like. The OT is filled with morons.

northern outskirts of D'Iberville (White Plains)/Biloxi/Gulfport if you are looking for more country living with easy access to coast (Hwy 15 or Hwy 67 or 49).

It depends on your life style and if you want private school or not

Have a place here as well. Great area. Enjoy every minute we get to spend out there.

Diamondhead is pretty nice; biggest thing for you is it's the easiest for your commute.

I know several New Orleaneans who have business interests here and live on the Gulf Coast. Think of it as a long commute. Ocean Springs is nice but Bay St Louis is a lot closer.

I cant even imagine having to drive the Claiborne Overpass, High Rise, NOLA East and Twin Spans everyday, not to mention the the stretch between Slidell and Stennis

I’ve lived here since I’ve been married 10yrs - she’s lives here most of her life. Her family is here so we settled down here.

It’s a nice small town and everyone knows everyone kind of place. It’s good and bad. It’s very slow paced which took some time to get used to but it’s a quick 30min drive to wherever you want on the coast and an 1-1:15 to Nola I can be on the quarter in an hour from my driveway (not that I want to go there these days)

Ocean Springs is where you want to be! If you can find a house in the Bayou Sauvolle subdivision you’ll cook with gas.
