No thanks. I don't have a mullet and I'm not married to my sister.

If you want one of these, just join the Alabama football team. They give them away for free.

The latest Mustang GT with a convertible top would be cool if the prices are reasonable. I wouldn't bother with a hard top unless it's the Dark Horse model. This is the first generation Mustang that I really like.

The Challenger doesn't do much for me. I know some car guys love it, but I've always preferred the Camaro and Mustang over this. The only real appeal here is that this is the last year for that HEMI V8.

I like the Supra, Corvette, 370Z, Boxter/718, and the M3 over all the domestic muscle cars though.

Are these one of the "EV Muscle Cars" I've been hearing about?

Depends on what you want to do:

Challenger if you want to do donuts in BR.

Mustang if you want to do anything else. Also the first thing you should do if you get the stang is call Urist @ Hellion and get one of his kits.

Corvette is GM and is domestic.

You posted two very different cars. One is a base model Mustang GT and the other is a Challenger 392 Widebody. What are you actually looking at?

I like the looks of the Challenger personally. If you care about handling, the Mustang is better though the widebody Challengers I’ve heard handle surprisingly well.

If you want to test drive it for a bit first, go rent one. Went on a short few day trip several months back and wanted to get something a little sportier for driving around and sight seeing. Got a black 5.0 mustang just like in the op, but it was the convertible top from Alamo for around 100 a day.

Ive got a '18 Challenger Scatpack with the shaker hood that my 80 year old dad uses as a daily driver and I drive on weekends from time to time.

It is a naturally aspirated ~400 HP (feels much quicker than the Hellcat) heavy arse car with the aerodynamics of a brick being thrown down a hallway. It will swap ends on you in a heartbeat, has horrible site lines, sounds pissed off at idle, will go thru a set of tires like a fat kid at Sonic, and will try to kill you at least once a week. It is no Lexus, but it is surprisingly not an awful build, even after 50K miles, it is fairly comfortable to drive in street mode (but sport mode is an absolute fricking blast), it has a decent sound system, and it is by far, the most fun car I have ever owned. I absolutely love it.

I paid $30K at purchase (it was used with 8K miles) and could easily get that for it today if I sold it. If it weren't so damn much fun, I would take it off the road and sell it in 10 years when its likely to rise exponentially in value due to rarity.

If I went challenger I would pay extra for the widebody model. Apparently it improves handling

Correct, the wide body corners like an F150 rather than the standard model that corners like an F250.

100% true. But it’s not a muscle car.

Corvette is a sports car….and IMO a glorious way to have a mid life crisis and less of a douche mobile than a Porsche, which is also an awesome car. The C8 is an incredible machine.

The scope of the Camaro and Mustang have moved more towards sports car territory recently if we are behind honest. They both can turn now .

The Challenger is still very much a muscle car.
