What do you guys think?

You probably missed some networking opportunities, but if you've landed an internship and are at least a little socially active you'll be fine.

The world is a different place now. Every generation is going to view and value things a little differently. You have views your folks think are crazy and vice versa. What truly matters, in my opinion, is when the rubber meets the road.

As long as you're learning the material and making the grade, I don't see any issues.

Sounds like you're killing it. Good on you.

My opinion: it’s a real degree. But if you were going the online route why do LSU?

It's absolutely a real degree as long as it's from a legit school and not from the Virginia College campus in the Cortana mall.

I earned my bachelors online. I've done well with it, totally worth it.

Tell them you have decided they are right and will enroll in tech school to learn to weld so you can attend and be hands on. Tell them you are sorry you wasted so much of your life on all of that listening to instructors, reading material and writing papers.

You now see that none of it counts unless it is hands on.

Is getting an online MBA or a Real Estate License online or any class or course online count? ........sorta like kids that are Homeschool?

Do their HS diplomas not count either?

I know people that have gotten law and PHD's online....do they they count either?

Well 23 years later, we should have enough info to determine who was right.

Just a joke. He seemed sensitive.

I have no idea what they teach in MBA school, but my wife told her management to kick rocks when they asked her to get one. She got a PMP (project management professional) certification instead. That worked apparently.

Still, they act like it’s not a “real degree”

I thought all degrees from LSU were not real, online or in person

Jk - a degree is a degree and will look the same whether on campus or online

"School from home needs to end. All these students that stay home and attend classes in their underwear are just lazy, useless people."

ETA: I better add /sarcasm.

Bro, they're old(er)and out of touch. Let it go. One day you'll wish they were still around to frustrate you with their antiquated views.

Sounds like it's real enough to get you where you want to go. What does it matter what your parents think? Are they considering you for a position in their company?
