Dumbest regulation ever. Living between Barksdale and FT Worth NAS we used to watch and hear Booms weekly, at least. Basically an I20 E/W path. Made us jump but so does thunder after a close strike. Thunder at close range is so much louder.

Not an Obama guy, he was almost a complete disaster, but he accidentally got this right. NASA is a corrupt, incompetent money suck. It was Obama who first pivoted towards private space, when Bezos and at the time Musk, were on his side.

Obama restructured it but did not cut the overall budget.

Trump repeatedly try to cut much of the NASA budget but was blocked by Congress

Absolutely... I can imagine a world with launch towers strategically placed around MAJOR population centers - outside NY City; or rural Virginia; Barstow, CA; Bahrain.
