This turns me on, but it makes no sense... they can only force the seat down with their bodyweight, since their feet aren't strapped to the floor, and the spring loaded seat just pushed them back up, so there's no resistance in the squat. I'm horny yet confused.

It's not about forcing your body down, it's about assisting the squat back up.
