I'm ok with the stud in the nostril. I don't think I'd let a little hoop through a nostril scare me a way, either.
But the septum ring (Booger hook) is a non starter.

I saw a waitress the other day with so many nose piercings there is no way she could blow her nose. She was cute otherwise.

I've noticed in clinics, surgi-centers, etc., there is a herd and competitive mentality when it comes to tats and piercings, somebody breaks the seal with a tat and/or piercing and the competition is on to see who can out trash each other the most
