"Not a significant source of protein"

So I'm eating some pork rinds the other day and start reading the label. I notice that a serving has 8 g protein but the label says "not a significant source of protein". That's the same amount as a cup of milk. What gives?

I doubt pork rind makers ever dreamed that someone would ever read their label of nutritional data.

Pork rinds are highly nutritious, tasty, and full of vitamins and protien. This is why they are one of the seven basic food groups.

Pork rinds are no worse for you than potato chips. In fact, I'd argue that they're less bad than potato chips.
However, their label is making a point that you shouldn't be eating tons of it.

Oh I know they are pretty bad. I rarely eat them. Just wondering if there is something different about the protein in pork rinds.

I think the folks at BIG DAIRY and BIG PROTEIN are conducting another one of their false flag operations. Either Milk is good for you and so are pork rinds or neither is good for you. Pick a side!

They probably have to put that because the protein they contain is primarily collagen. Collagen contains mostly nonessential amino acids and is not considered a complete protein.

Pre-soak them overnight or eat them more frequently and your poots shouldn't be as bad.

Of 21 amino acids in protein 9 are essential and 12 are non essential. An Egg is a very complete protein cause it has all or close, where some other foods like pork rinds may be high in protein but the bulk comes from a particular or group of non essential amino acids
