Oprah Winfrey faces potential backlash after being accused of starting Maui Wild Fires

I did not know this but Oprah has a real estate empire on Maui. For years locals have been complaining that she’s been buying up all the land and pricing out the average person. Now many locals are convinced she has something to do with the blaze. I was skeptical at first but the more I read the more things line up.

A video clip from a Maui County Council meeting last Tuesday, Aug. 22, has now gone viral after a woman known as “Auntie” complained about the lack of urgency to put the fires out. “Nobody called us! Our phones didn’t work from 5 in the morning. The fire was not until 10 o’clock when I went to work,” she stated, noting that there was no water for hours and no warning from the government. The woman also doesn’t believe it’s a coincidence that the “satellite city” has been destroyed — possibly driving down the value for others to purchase the land.

alleges Winfrey is somehow connected to the start of the fires — noting that her properties were not burned in the blazes.

It's spreading like wild fire (pun intended) on Tiktok, and I tell you some of the evidence is crazy convincing

The truth is never as exciting as a good conspiracy.

Don’t know how it started, but are there still over 1,000 missing? Not hearing much about this anymore.

That’s my issue with this conspiracy. Seems like it originated from Tik Tok…the Chinese owned company. I don’t trust anything from Tik Tok.

Downtown Lahaina is a mass graveyard and many of those missing will never be recovered because they were burned to ash in their own homes when the fires swept through and they had nowhere to flee because of the police barricades. It will require DNA testing to confirm identities in those cases.
Even more horrifically, many of those impacted were children who were sent home early from school whose parents were still at work or unable to get them.
The reason for the high black fences is the dead are all over the place and the authorities don’t want pictures being taken that show the horror of what happened because they don’t want to be held accountable for the outcome of the horrible decisions that were made from a disaster management standpoint that day.

I hadn't heard anything about that. That's awful, if true.
I do know the Hawaiian local government there has been weird about shite, to the point of seeming shady.

I dont know shite about Maui and I've never been on tiktok, but I'm always down for a good conspiracy theory. I'm in.

Didn't she make a glowing video letting her fans know that none of her properties were affected?

Summed up perfectly
Amazing how quickly this story has basically died in the news

This is another example of the unprecedented double standard in how Republicans and Democrats are treated by the media.
We've never lived in such a politically biased time. It's frightening how little accountability Democrats are held to.

Did she participate in starting the wildfire, probably not. Is she going to benefit from it immensely, you better fricking believe it.
